The Proper of the mass is the set of texts of the mass that change depending on the day.

The Proper includes both the Minor Propers (typically sung by the choir or a cantor) and the Major Propers (typically said or sung by the celebrant).

The Minor Propers include:

• Introit

• Gradual

• Alleluia (or Tract)

• Sequence

• Offertory Antiphon

• Communion Antiphon

The Major Propers include:

• Collect of the day

• Prayer over the offerings

• Post communion
