The hymn sung as the altar party processes through the nave and up to the altar steps at the beginning of mass.

Usually follows an organ voluntary, and is immediately followed by the Introductory Rites, beginning with the Introit.

The Entrance Procession begins with the first sung verse of the entrance hymn.
