The Altar of Repose is the altar where the hosts that are consecrated on Maundy Thursday for use on Good Friday are reserved. The Blessed Sacrament is moved to the Altar of Repose from the main altar in the church at the conclusion of the Maundy Thursday mass, just before the stripping of the main altar.
