Candles that are carried by the torch bearers at the Entrance Procession, the Gospel Procession, and the Recessional.

These should always be held with gloved hands.

There is also a special set of outdoor processional candles used in processions to the shrine. These have glass followers with high sides that provide some protection from the wind.
