Asperges Me
Asperges Me is one of the two antiphons sung during the Rite of Sprinkling with Holy Water, at the beginning of a Sunday mass.
Asperges Me is the antiphon used outside of Eastertide, while Vidi Aquam is used during Eastertide.
Outside of Eastertide:
Ant. Thou shalt purge me with hyssop, O Lord, and I shall be clean: thou shalt wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
(Ps 51) Have mercy upon me, O God, after thy great goodness.
(Bow) Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost:(Rise) As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
